About

Vision

Word Church of Mckinney is a multigenerational, multiethnic community of believers who seek to engage, equip and empower any person who desires to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A great disparity exists between the biblical portrait of family and our cultural reality. Word church is a response to this disparity and a movement to bring discipleship, worship, and missions into the home; for there is no greater joy than to see our families enjoying Christ and his Gospel.

Our senior Pastor, Robert Dyson, launched word church in hopes of encouraging families to bring the Gospel home by cultivating Family Discipleship, Family Worship, & Family Missions. This is a journey of family restoration, spiritual leadership, grace-based parenting, family devotions, prayer, and simply rooting each home in the Gospel.

With meticulous attention to the gospel and a commitment to God, we share the word of God which inspire, elevate, and enrich the lives of those who inhabit them.

IN ONE GOD…

who exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
God created the universe, is all-powerful, all-knowing and ever-present.

THAT JESUS OF NAZARETH WAS THE INCARNATION OF GOD…

born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died an atoning death for our sins, and rose again the third day.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SPIRIT OF GOD HIMSELF…

who indwells, empowers, transforms and encourages all those who believe in Jesus as Lord.

THE BIBLE IS THE VERY WORD OF GOD, DIVINELY INSPIRED…

It serves as our ultimate authority; it enables us to know God and His will for our lives, both individually and corporately.

THE FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEM IN OUR OWN LIVES AND IN THE WORLD AT LARGE IS HUMAN SIN…

Jesus Christ came into the world to rescue us from our sin and the eternal separation from God that sin produces.
By dying for our sins, He opened a door so that all who repent of their sins and believe in His grace will be saved.

A CHURCH IS NOT A BUILDING OR AN INSTITUTION…

Baptism by immersion symbolizes the new life we have through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. At WBC, we baptize believers when they profess faith in Jesus.
The Lord’s Supper is a re-enactment of the Passover meal Jesus ate with His disciples the night before His crucifixion. It reminds us of His death for us, and gives us a foretaste of His return.

Guiding your life through Jesus

Knock and the door shall be open unto you. With Jesus Christ all things are possible.

If the lord says YES no one can say No. Who God has blessed no one can cause.
